These are a fantastic all round high performance longboard fin for either your mal or smaller retro single fin.
Available in 7 sizes, from 6.5" up to 10" in half inch increments. This means you can get exactly the size fin that you want!
Smaller fins mean less drag and more manueverability, but less drive. So its a bit of a trial and error effort to get the right size for your board,
but generally we would advise that if you feel you could do with a slightly smaller fin, go down 1" to start with.
Going shorter by more that 1" you run the risk of going too short for your board.Another thing to consider is that a smaller centre fin may reduce your nose riding ability. But, on the other hand, in bigger waves you may find your mal to be a bit easier to handle.
These fins are high quality, hand made and solid fibreglass. Why is the screw at the back? Some people prefer this for a few reasons. Firstly, you can move the fin further forward in the box (consequently not as far back though). Also there tends to be less breakages of the tab, as if the fin hits sand or rock while surfing the tab is protected at the rear of the fin.
